At least a 12-hour notice is required to cancel any appointment. A credit card number is needed to hold your reservation. Once an appointment is booked – unless the salon hears otherwise – they’ll expect you to be there. No-show and same-day cancellations will be charged 50% of the service booked to the card number with which they were held.
Absolutely! Sometimes your skin may feel a bit tender during pregnancy, but there is no harm to you or your baby. Make sure to discuss this with your waxologist, though. The more your waxologist knows about you, the better service they can provide.
If you’re taking any medication or have allergies, please consult with your doctor and let the waxologist know. Taking any antibiotics or topical acne medicines may make skin more sensitive and susceptible to some skin lifting.
Absolutely! Beyond the Manzilian (the male version of the Brazilian) many men also wax their chests, backs, noses and ears.
Don’t shave or trim between visits. Once you see that waxing leaves you stubble-free, you won’t want to. Staying away from clippers and razors will also help to remove more growth cycles during your next visit. If you have the urge to shave in between visits, book them closer together.
Guests 17 or younger should bring a parent or guardian in for the first time, as they will need to sign the original forms.
No! Waxing actually helps the hair to grow back at a finer texture, making it easier to remove during your next visit. And an added bonus: The more you get waxed, the less it hurts; it just keeps getting better.
Please wait for your sunburn to heal before getting waxed to avoid lifting of the skin during the waxing process. The same applies to rashes and other skin irritations.
Don’t worry, your waxologist will help you discover the perfect brow shape for your facial features. Even if you have spent some time with tweezers in the past, they can – with a little patience and expertise – help you get your brows where you like them and help you keep them that way.
With the Radiant Waxing three-step speed-waxing process, the actual waxing takes about 15 minutes on average, which means you can get in, get out and even rebook and catch up with your waxologist in a 30-minute lunch break.
Don’t plan to get a spray tan before getting waxed. You don’t want to wax that golden glow right off! Also, you don’t want to plan on getting a spray tan after getting waxed because self-tan reacts with keratin in the skin and “stains” the skin. Waxing can cause self-tan to look patchy and streaky as it often removes the top (dead) layer of skin cells.
Can I go tanning after getting waxed?
Try to wait 48 hours to tan after waxing, just to be safe. If you do find yourself needing to be outside in the sunshine, just make sure to use sunscreen.
Not all re-growth cycles are the same. Some people get waxed every three weeks, while some people can make it six. If you are unsure of how close to book your appointments, try four weeks apart to start and go from there.
Try to avoid going to the gym post-wax for 48 hours; perspiration can irritate your skin.
It’s best not to touch them, because this makes you prone to infection and scarring. If you’re prone to ingrown hairs, talk to your waxologist who can recommend an exfoliation regimen. Even if you don’t normally get ingrown hairs, still keep your hands off freshly waxed skin, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.
Caffeine can make skin more sensitive so it is best to wait to have your coffee until after getting waxed. If you must have your coffee, consider taking some ibuprofen before your visit.
Start an exfoliation routine two days after you get waxed to help prevent ingrown hairs. If you have questions about what kind of routine would be best for you, ask your waxologist during your visit.
Try to stay away from hot environments like saunas and hot tubs for 48 hours. Even hot baths can cause irritation and infections, and the same goes for swimming pools (48 hours).
Go for something comfortable and loose. You will be more comfortable post-wax if you wear relaxed clothing.
Not at all. Unlike tweezing, waxing removes all of the hairs at once, saving time and pain.
If you have a low pain tolerance, it is recommended to take ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment.
Plan at least two visits before the event so you (and your skin) have some time to get used to the process. We suggest coming in about 8 weeks before your event for your first wax.
It’s okay to wax when on your period, just change your tampon right before your appointment. Also remember that the increase of blood flow may make your skin more sensitive, so you may want to take ibuprofen before your visit.
It’s important to avoid intimate contact for at least 48 hours after your wax appointment. With sensitive skin and open pores, freshly waxed skin is more susceptible to bacteria.
Try to avoid using deodorant, moisturizer or other creams and lotions for several hours after waxing so you don’t clog your pores.
Basic bikini is the hair just inside the underwear line down to the bottom of the cheeks. A tight bikini brings it in further on the sides and right up to the edge of the labia – it also brings the top down as far as the guest would like, but not including the labia.
As a brand, we are always aiming for excellence, and that includes the products and how we use them. Specially formulated, all-natural soft wax is used because it generally works far better at removing hair and creates a gentler, more comfortable waxing experience for guests. Oftentimes, hard wax requires multiple applications over the same area of skin to remove all of the hair, and that can be uncomfortable. With the speed-waxing technique and soft wax, waxologists can work quickly to remove all of the hair in a way that is gentler to the skin. A quick, thorough experience is what salons strive for every time. Loyal Radiant Waxing guests agree that the products and techniques offer beautifully smooth skin. Come in and see for yourself!
